All that glitter is GOLD! It is with our bunting!

Updated: Feb 25, 2021

I remember being at a wedding fair at Healey Barn in Northumberland - we were exhibiting there as one of their recommended suppliers - it must have been 3 or 4 years ago. A very bubbly lady came up to us and told us she wasn't getting married at Healey, but really wanted bunting for her tipi wedding. Would we consider making something gold and sparkly? Well, you don't have to ask me that sort of thing twice! We'd been looking at making some sequin bunting, but needed a reason - and here it was!

Since then, gold and rose gold sequins have been become more and more popular as a wedding colour scheme, and I can see why. Not only are they sparkly, but the gold is quite a neutral colour so lends itself nicely to lots of different colour schemes. We have quite a bit of it in stock now, although sadly we can no longer get hold of the gorgeous copper rose gold colour we've been using, so any new bunting we make up will be made without this tone.

Gold Sequin Bunting and Llamas!

Amy & Jess were married at the Londesborough in London quite recently and our gold sequin wedding bunting was outside in the garden - they were soooo lucky with the glorious weather - and sunshine and sequins always looks great! This is one of their wedding guests, Kathryn, thank you for letting us share this image via Instagram!! I love it!!! Yes, a llama in London. Who knew llamas and sequins went so well ;-)

ps we love working at the Londesborough, it's not licensed for weddings, but does a mean post wedding dinner and is decorated in a very quirky style. We love it. It's in Stoke Newington.

Our gold sequin bunting has matt champagne tones and sparkly rose gold and gold tones. In some lights it looks more gold, and in others it looks more pink. It's one of my favourites. I was delighted when Jen from Cotton and Canvas asked us if she could use some in a styled photo shoot she was doing.

Cotton and Canvas is an event planning company that creates parties and styling for children's birthdays and overnight slumber parties. The tents and styling are just gorgeous, so I'm delighted to be able to share a few of the images by Ruth Garner Photography at Pennard House in Shepton Mallet. Jen works closely with The Wedding Sitting Company who offer childcare at weddings. In my experience as a wedding stylist and as a mum, this is one thing not to be overlooked at a wedding. If you have small children attending your wedding, it really is a must to have someone there to help you look after them and to keep them occupied. They are worth their weight in gold. It means that the kids have a good time and you have a better time as you're not preoccupied and can relax and enjoy the day! For me it's a total win-win. Jen's business is based in the Bristol, Bath and Somerset areas.

Hope you love these images and please get in touch if we can help decorate your wedding or event with some sparkly gold bunting!
